I can’t believe that I’m FINALLY blogging my FIRST wedding! Ah!!! It’s surreal. The sweetest, most laid-back couple, Jessica & Chad, took a chance with me and had unwavering trust in my capability to capture gorgeous images of their Wedding Day at Collegedale Community Church. I couldn’t have prayed for a more perfect couple to work with. Praise God!

Their November Wedding Day couldn’t have been more gorgeous outside for portraits, and the inside was decorated perfectly for Jessica & Chad’s taste. Throughout the day I kept learning more and more about how crafty these two are. A lot of their décor was handmade! Which if you know me, DIY weddings and events have a special place in my heart since nearly my ENTIRE wedding was handmade too!

Evidence of Jessica & Chad’s craftiness and creativity could be found in the details of each part of the day. Wood from the Fox parents’ property where we photographed their engagement session at was used to make the ceremony arch, roadside signs, and centerpieces. They also made the reception photo frame for guests to take pictures with. (I’m sure there was a lot more they did that my mom brain is forgetting!)

Jessica & Chad had the sweetest and humorous First Look. It was such a tender moment, and it was a privilege to capture it. After the tenderness passed, Chad turned on the hilarity. If you know him, you know how hilarious this got. I tried SO hard to be quiet and not let my giggles interrupt their moment, but I may have failed at that! 🙂

Jessica & Chad’s bridal party really showed up for them and stepped up at all the right times. Jimmy and I found ourselves jealous of their friendships! Really! I really enjoyed getting to laugh with them and being a part of some of their inside jokes and creating our own, like “Christina Yang”…trust me, they’ll get it. 🙂

I’m still praising God (and Ashley Fox) for send you two our way, Jessica & Chad. We pray we served you well, and that you not only have gorgeous images, but that your experience with us throughout your Wedding Day was memorable too. We couldn’t work fast enough to get this blog post up to share some previews of each part of your day at Collegedale Community Church. We hope you love them as much as we do! 🙂 <3
