Common House No. 3 in Chattanooga is STUNNING! Photographing Kurtisha and Conner’s wedding here gave me an up-close look at the luxury in this restored Italian-Renaissance YMCA originally constructed in 1929.
The Design of Common House
Common House is a social club with other locations in the United States. The spaces are designed for connection and celebration of their historic architecture. For Common House No. 3, the founders wanted to continue their mission of developing a common space for people to experience and enjoy life together through food, drink, and interactions. It is undoubtedly a neat place to gather to socialize, but putting a wedding against this gorgeous backdrop takes Common House No. 3 to a whole new level!
While Common House is a membership-based social club, you can host your wedding whether you’re a member or not! If I were a bride, I’d be asking “how can I have three ceremonies in one day?” because all three venue options within Common House are beautifully unique. Sophistication and class describe the property and Ruby Hall boasts additional charm. The main hall is Common House’s flagship venue, able to accommodate up to 300 guests. The natural light just pours into this space through the arched windows and runs onto the in-room stage as well. The dark ceiling brings a lovely contrast to the light wood floors and is such a romantic mood!
Gorgeous Spaces for Your Ceremony
The Pennybacker Room, perfect for more intimate weddings is my newest obsession. The honeycomb floor tiles…you’ll want these in your house after having a wedding here! Beautiful. They cover the floor and meet Spanish tiles that run halfway up the wall and a beautiful stone fireplace. It is charming and quaint.
For my outdoor brides, the sophistication follows out into the garden. Lush green grasses, natural light, and fresh air make for an incredible afternoon outdoor wedding. Common House No. 3 also had me at bistro lighting 😍. The cocktail hours, the golden hour “just married” portraits, and the options against the beautiful white building are plentiful!
Also, if you can’t choose which space you love the most, you don’t have to. Many brides opt to utilize all three venue spaces for different aspects of their wedding. Truly, Common House is customizable to meet your wedding desires!
Services Offered on Your Wedding Day
While I can’t get enough of the spaces, the staff and services are truly special. Because this space is designed for socializing and gathering together over food and drink, that same value is carried over to private events. In-house catering, wines curated by a sommelier, full bar services, a professional waitstaff, and all the accompaniments you’d need for a night of entertainment and dancing are all a part of the offerings at Common House No. 3.
This incredible venue, built for connection surely allows you to do just that with your guests and your new spouse. It is the ultimate in new luxury and sophistication in Chattanooga and I can’t wait to continue to see how brides use the space and ambiance at a Common House No. 3.
