There’s no denying the same love and appreciation the family behind Candies Creek Farm has for the couples that choose to marry on their property. When the Purnell family purchased the land in 2018, they quickly realized their dream of owning and operating a wedding venue could be a reality.
Enter: Candies Creek Farm. Immediately you can see the thoughtful design the black and white barn venue brings to the lush green surroundings. Large windows let in light throughout the barn. I can capture the best light and airy portraits in this space! The interior is modern with elegant finishes and even has a trendy monochromatic herringbone accent wall. Multiple black iron chandeliers hang from the ceiling which also features stunning exposed wood beams. If opting for your ceremony in the barn, or just the reception, the barn is definitely a stunner!
Outdoor ceremony enthusiasts will absolutely love the chapel! Nearly mirroring the beautiful interior beams, this covered outdoor space puts your weather worries to rest. The open-air space is filled with traditional pews that frame a large center aisle. Candies Creek Farm has ceremony arches available for use, but you can also opt to bring your own. Whatever you choose for the end of the aisle, the floral arrangements that you can design to accompany your arch always create great backdrops for the first married kiss! A fun fact about the chapel is that makes the space even more intimate and serene – it is the perfect spot for viewing the sunrise.
For cocktail hour, I know you’ve heard me talk about my favorite patios and my favorite bistro lights. I have a new favorite. It is hands down Candies Creek Farm’s ‘The Oak.’ A stunning oak tree with bistro lights cascading out from all angles. It creates a sort of tent-like effect of lights and I am here for it! But I’m also here for the alpacas! Yes, that’s right. Candies Creek Farm offers an alpaca experience! At first, I thought the nearby duck pond, water feature, and stone fireplace were great touches. But then I learned Candies Creek also offers alpacas for your cocktail hour! The photo opportunities with alpacas! What an entertaining way to engage guests and have a unique one-of-a-kind wedding experience!
Of course, Candies Creek Farm didn’t forget about the few important hours leading up to the ceremony and fun! The family has thoughtfully designed a bridal suite in the barn with a Juliet balcony. It is perfect for bridal portraits and stunning hanging gown photos. The men aren’t far off. They get pampered and can entertain themselves in the gentleman’s lounge. Since the guys usually don’t take as long to get ready, they have plenty of games and entertainment to keep them busy (and also make for super fun photographs of the guys before the wedding)!
