Emily & Ben wanted to go for an open field, natural look for their engagement session (my fave). I pitched the Chickamauga Battlefield. Since Emily had never been there, she and her mom toured it…on foot…and got lost for FOUR MILES!!! If you’ve ever been, you know touring on foot is quite the task! The adventure ended in a good laugh.
We began their engagement session with a good laugh too, because we started off at the exact same spot where Emily and her mom got lost! We think that’s just so funny. It was a no-brainer location though, because the lighting was soooooo dreamy through the yellow, Fall-colored leaves!
Side note: As we were shooting I noticed the mother of another bride from 2020 jogging! It was so neat! I just love running into previous client’s & their families, we truly LOVE our ARP Family!!
Back to Emily & Ben! 🙂 Emily & Ben were so excited about our posing ideas and “prompts.” Ben had us laughing HARD several times. He was a level 10/10 for some of them. It was truly a blast. Emily looked so lovely in her white dresses, nodding to being in her bridal season. The second dress couldn’t have been better for the location. Just LOOK at that vibe in the field! I literally felt relaxed looking at their images while I was editing because I could remember how everything felt while we were shooting. The lighting, slight breeze, outfits, and their genuine smiles made it all feel so ethereal. Chickamauga Battlefield was just the perfect location for this engagement shoot!
We can’t wait to see you three again, Emily, Ben, and Cooper, but next time at McCoy Farm & Garden! Oh what a beautiful day it’ll be! Until then, we hope you love these sneak peeks!
