This session? Straight outta a Hallmark movie. If you’re considering family pictures at a Christmas tree farm, let this be your sign.
It’s the perfect mix of winter whimsy and natural beauty. Every frame looks festive without trying too hard — kind of like how the Laefeles showed up camera-ready but still felt like themselves.
From the second they stepped onto the farm, I knew we were in for magic. Their baby girl lit up when she got to touch a tree, and the way dad looked at her? I might have teared up. (Okay, I did. Don’t judge me.)
Between the matching mommy-and-me dresses, the festive glow of the Christmas tree farm, and those red ballet flats (yes, I’m still not over them), the Laefele family’s session was one for the books. We gathered to mark their little girl’s 9-month milestone, and let me tell you…she stole the whole dang show.
Their session preview is full of my favorite kinds of moments — the in-betweens. The unposed. The real. Baby girl exploring her surroundings. Dad sneaking a tickle. Mom getting the biggest smiles.
I photographed them just about a month prior at an apple orchard and will be photographing them all again when baby girl turns one!
They trusted me to capture the feel of their season, not just the milestone, but the joy, the energy, the quiet love. And that? That’s what makes sessions like this stick.
Laefele fam, you made this session pure holiday magic. Thank you for letting me be part of such a beautiful season in your lives. I hope this video brings all the warm fuzzies year after year.
If you’re a mama reading this and wondering whether it’s “worth it” to do photos this time of year…
Here’s your nudge. Yes, yes, yes.
P.S. If you’re in the market for a Chattanooga-area photographer who can keep up with toddler giggles, milestone mayhem, and outfit coordination wins? I’m your girl. Let’s get you family pictures at a Christmas tree farm, even!
Shoot me an email! I’d love to chat about your next session.
