Three descriptions for Maddie & Dawson’s Castleton Farms wedding—HUGE guest count, classic elegance, and spirited.
It wasn’t a surprise to me when Maddie & Dawson shared that their bridal party included 14 bridesmaids and 14 groomsmen, and their family formals list was nearly two pages, single-spaced long! Their joy and genuine love for others are magnetic. You just want to be around their energy!
I also wasn’t surprised when Maddie & Dawson’s entire, ginormous bridal party was the same way! Truthfully, we were fully prepared to use gentle, authoritative direction to make beautiful images happen with 30 people in our time constraints, especially considering the Florida vs Tennessee game was happening at the same time. But….WE DIDN’T HAVE TO. What?! Everyone was where they needed to be, ready to listen, and quick to act when directed. Maddie & Dawson kept assuring us that they had productive conversations with everyone, and most of the bridal party just got married this year. But basically, we learned we need to take leadership lessons from these two, ha!
The neutral, classic color tones of the wedding elevated Maddie’s natural elegance and Dawson’s appreciation for looking dapper. The aesthetic and design photographed beautifully but also left the eye to focus on what was most important—the couple and their loved ones.
The night ended with a jumpin’ dance floor! The bridal party had clearly been waiting for this night. At one point, one of their guy friends grabbed the attention of the ENTIRE dance floor with ease and led them into a choreographed dance. This wasn’t the cha-cha or YMCA; this was some random choreographed routine to a T-Swift song! I was blown away at his ability to lead complete strangers and out of nowhere! The choreographed routine was GOOD!!! I was convinced he was a Zumba instructor, but he told me he only aspired to teach the dance at every wedding he attends! It was so fun to watch!
Maddie & Dawson, we know your marriage will impact so many lives in positive ways. Your energy and heart for others are going to be used by God in so many ways. We can’t wait to watch your story unfold from the sidelines. Thank you for letting us be a part of your story by photographing your Big Day. We hope these previews make you and yours smile and your hearts swell with love!
