This past holiday season, I had the absolute joy of hosting my Clean & Classic Christmas Sessions – a brand-new offering for families looking to capture neutral Christmas portraits. Inspired by the need for a more elevated environment (and the glorious comfort of 100% climate control during December’s unpredictable weather), these sessions turned into everything I hoped for and more!
The Vision Behind the Clean & Classic Theme
Picture this: an all-white studio serving as the perfect blank canvas, with pops of vibrant red bringing in just the right amount of festive cheer. The centerpiece? A towering Christmas tree adorned with the largest, most gorgeous red bow you’ve ever seen. Every detail was designed to create a warm, yet polished holiday vibe that felt magical without overwhelming the space.
The theme gave families a sophisticated and minimalist environment making neutral Christmas images to truly shine. It’s proof that sometimes less really is more!
Welcoming Brand-New ARP Families
One of the most exciting parts? Every single client this year was brand-new to the ARP family! From toddlers barely two years old to energetic seven-year-olds, I had the privilege of meeting (and photographing!) some truly amazing families. Each session was unique, and I loved adapting to the different ages and energy levels.
For the tiniest clients, it was all about following their curiosity as they explored the space. Toddlers in action are a whole vibe, and their candid wonder made for some of the sweetest moments.
With the older kids? Let’s just say I was rolling on the ground (literally) to match their energy—whether it was jumping, running, or striking their own creative poses. They had me laughing the entire time!
Making the Most of Natural Light
One thing that made these sessions so special was the incredible natural light in the studio. Every corner was a potential backdrop, from the cozy setup around the Christmas tree to the clean, minimalist walls, making for perfect neutral Christmas photos. Having so much flexibility allowed me to use every bit of the space creatively, ensuring that no two sessions looked exactly alike.
It’s amazing how light can transform a space and elevate the photos – and this studio delivered big time.
