Knoxville, known as The Marble City, received its name because of the historic marble industry. That’s cool enough, but it’s even more incredible when you find yourself in a wedding venue surrounded by a marble quarry. The Quarry Venue in Knoxville is rich with history and also stunning backdrops for one of the most picturesque and unique venues in the area!
VIEWS, VIEWS, VIEWS
Whether you opt for an indoor or outdoor ceremony, The Quarry Venue has views from both. Their indoor venue, The Carrara is a crisp white industrial building that softens into the quarry backdrop. The building was laid out with views in mind. The windows allow you to see the outdoor backdrop uninterrupted. It’s just gorgeous! It reminds me of an elegant greenhouse with endless windows. The interior is spacious and lofty with some industrial touches that are softened by the wooden chairs in the open reception area.
The Canyon is an outdoor space that I couldn’t dream up if I tried. Besides you and your spouse being a perfect match, the rock walls that go on endlessly, paired with the greenery and other natural elements are quite the pair too. It is breathtaking and the photo opportunities are endless! Some brides opt for outdoor ceremonies in the canyon while others host their reception in front of the soaring marble walls.
A short walk through the quarry, you arrive at a small pond and 25-foot waterfall. It is dreamy, serene, and you and your guests will feel transported to another world.

The Carrara structure and The Canyon aren’t the only views offered at The Quarry. The family-owned venue has put together a list of their favorite views and spots on the property. From the moss rocks, to the ivy tree, to the field, cliffs, and caverns, the photos you will have from these areas of the property will be images you will treasure for years to come! All spots are perfect for bridal portraits and just married shots. There is a feeling of romance that saturates each natural element at The Quarry. It is unlike anything I’ve ever seen and one of my favorite places to photograph.
Did I mention that they had doors imported from PARIS?! Yup! You’ll want to take a few moments to get some epic shots in front of those!
FAMILY-OWNED
Two of the sweetest families own the property and have been hosting private events here for years! They began to transform the property ten years ago and I love that they now offer it to brides for their enjoyment and celebration of their big day.
Co-owners, Lindsey and Morgan both help curate weddings on the property. From arranging up to 300 guests inside to ensuring you design a ceremony that allows for the best views, they’re involved in helping you design the ultimate wedding day!
