Dusty Blue, Whimsical Wedding: A Styled Shoot

Nothing makes me more pumped than getting to work with a high-functioning team! And that’s just what I got to do at this dusty blue, whimsical wedding styled shoot hosted at Gilman Event Hall.

Erika Allen of Wildflower Wedding Planning executed this styled shoot…and quite beautifully! 🙂 Her goal was to design a shoot that was romantic, contemporary, and formal with a focus on layers, texture, and contrast. Of course, all-things dusty blue as the wedding color was a must!

Although I believe the pictures showcase the team’s talent, I wish that you could experience how well we all communicated, supported each other, and maximized our time together for great images! Truly a dream team!

We had so much fun utilizing the space of one of Chattanooga’s newest wedding venues, Gilman Event Hall. It’s nestled in West Village, an up-and-coming corner of downtown Chattanooga. (You can read more about the venue itself in this post!)

No detail was overlooked by Erika, Luma Designs, and Copper Quail! We were set up inside the venue by the towering windows and doors, which let in the most beautiful light! The whimsical textures of the tablespaces and florals provided soft, subtle contrast to the industrial, modern aesthetic of the Gilman Event Hall. The place settings were elevated with name glass “cards” with elegant calligraphy and wax stamping. (Just a thought: these would make great favors, brides!) Lush, full florals made the shoot look even more elevated. I could go on and on about the details, really!

Once the rain let up, we went out on the balcony with Sarah & Lawrence to grab some unique urban portraits. Then, we worked our way down into the main street of West Village. These are some of my favorites because of the scale the buildings give, modern aesthetic, and cozy bistro lights that set a romantic mood in the background!

This dusty blue wedding styled shoot was truly a grand showcase of what Wildflower Wedding Planning and their teams can do. I would participate over and over again! If you didn’t make it out to this showcase, you better make sure you make it out to their next one! 🙂

If you’re in the market for a wedding photographer, and loved what you see in these images, I’d love to be there for you! Please reach out to me! <3
