DREAMY PERGOLAS
Howe Farms continues to expand its offering of unbelievable venues with both indoor and outdoor spaces. The Apple Barn is no exception. Let’s first start outside though with a pergola that marks the aisle entry for you to make your grand debut. At the very end of Howe Farm’s longest aisle awaits another pergola that is uniquely both delicate and strong. It’s unlike any pergola I’ve seen before with its pitched arbor at the foot of the altar. And what’s a wedding arbor without a stunning chandelier. YES. A gorgeous chandelier…OUTSIDE. It’s romantic and completely breathtaking. Saying your vows and stealing the first kiss underneath creates photographs that you’ll be loving for years to come.
After the ceremony, there is lush surrounding grounds with natural elements that offer great backdrops for the ‘just married’ shots or sunset portraits. The Apple Barn itself is gray from the outside which stands beautifully against the natural landscape and nearby waterfront. Oh, and the waterfront…equipped with a canoe and other charming pieces for fun, on the water images.
INSIDE THE APPLE BARN
Seeing the outdoor chandelier is one thing, but when it’s party time inside The Apple Barn, you’re met with 15 crystal chandeliers that illuminate the white-washed interior walls. Wooden beams also fill the space which can be draped with flowing white fabric to add to the warmth and romance of the room. A unique lookout allows couples to view their guests below and take in the entire day from above. It’s really special.
If the up to 250 guests that Apple Barn can accommodate are looking for a break from dancing, or need an activity during a cocktail hour, the patio space is perfect for fun. Outfitted with swings, ping pong, and patio lights, there are countless opportunities for entertainment and enjoyment on your wedding day. The patio itself makes for a great send-off or staged exit for your last wedding day images too.
GETTING READY
In order to enjoy your big day, there has to be space to get ready for it. The Apple Barn didn’t miss a detail here! The bridal suite was made for bridal portraits and detail shots. The venue supplies a display nook for the wedding dress and bridesmaids’ dresses. I LOVE detail shots of your dress so this is such a great feature! The walls are white-washed, there are ornate hooks on the walls, salon chairs, and great lighting. Hair and makeup teams love this bridal suite because of how appointed it is!
The grooms aren’t forgotten either and the men have their own grooms quarters at the venue. Original beams from The Apple Barn’s frame were used to make a bar. It’s really neat and unique.
