Ridge Rose: Chattanooga Wedding Venue Highlight

If you’ve read my blog for any length of time, you know I love a good mountain backdrop for photos. Even though I photograph weddings all over, there’s nothing like photographing venues within the north Georgia and Tennessee mountains, the place I call home. Ridge Rose Wedding Venue is no exception.

Views

This venue is an absolute fairytale and is situated on a ridge beneath Lookout Mountain. If an outdoor wedding is what you’ve envisioned for your wedding day, then definitely consider Ridge Rose. The courtyard is available and is a lush and picturesque spot for your ceremony.

The second area, a green space that stands opposite Grace Cottage is my favorite for a ceremony with a view. A gorgeous custom-built arbor stands at the end of the aisle with Lookout Mountain behind. One of my favorite views to capture besides the mountains is the groom watching his bride walk down the aisle and Ridge Rose makes these photographs all the more stunning because of the mountains and beautiful wooden arbor. It is a one-of-a-kind place to recite your vows.

When the sunsets here, the party lights come on. String lights line Hickory Hall. Hickory Hall is a tent with a white flowy peak with string lights illuminating the inside and carrying away from the tent on the outside, lighting up the grounds in the evening. Wooden beams create a cozy warmth in the hall and is so inviting for guests to eat and dance the night away.

Planning

Speaking of guests, thinking of all the details that go into your wedding so you and your guests enjoy themselves?

Ridge Rose allows for ample customization, giving you the option to select your own vendors or work with a robust list of preferred and recommended vendors.

If your Pinterest wedding board is ready to go, Ridge Rose is happy to let you customize your wedding day however you’d like. If you want a bit more guidance though, the generous team has several packages to help you plan. Included is some extra fun like a corn hole and a fire pit for those candid late night photographs of you and your guests!

For weddings with up to 150 guests or even small micro weddings or elopements (which I have been LOVING photographing lately), Ridge Rose doesn’t skimp on the fun or details.

While there is so much planning that goes into the evening and it seems like wedding days can be hectic, the mornings and getting ready photographs can actually be really calm and sweet. Ridge Rose offers Grace Cottage as an adorable yet stunning bridal suite for getting ready. A large window with natural light that pours in with a beautiful antique couch in front makes a great backdrop for bridal portraits.

Never Leaving

I truly feel that way about the Ridge Rose Wedding Venue. It is too pretty to leave! The good news is that you and some of your guests don’t have to. Candlelight Forest turns your wedding weekend into a wedding destination. Featuring four mountain homes including a lodge and cute treehouses, you have wedding night accommodations or your guests can hunker down in a lodge that sleeps up to 23 guests! Making the wedding last a weekend is something I see more and more now. From photographing the rehearsal to the wedding to the day after brunch, I love being a part of it all for my couples, and Ridge Rose offers everything you need for a weekend you will not soon forget and a weekend you won’t ever want to end!
