At Home Wedding | Chattanooga Wedding Photographer
I wouldn’t wish Laura & Robby’s timeline on anyone, but I do wish their type of love for everyone! Robby was out-of-state for military training until a couple days before their wedding. While he was gone, Laura planned their farmhouse wedding, finished out her job as an ER nurse, and began coordinating the logistics of their military move to New York… just a couple of days after their at home wedding!!! Am I the only one who gets tired just from reading about that?!
I don’t imagine that it was easy to plan a wedding (and new life!) without a fiancé’s immediate availability and physical support, but despite it Laura & Robby’s love remained goofy and unconditional. Throughout it all I admired Laura’s balanced perspective about their wedding day—-it was to be a special, beautiful day, but she was simply happy to have her man home and share the wedding day with loved ones!
Laura & Robby’s wedding day was that and more. Robby’s parents hosted the wedding at their brand new farmhouse in Northwest Georgia. When we drove there before the Big Day to see it, we thought we were driving into Cades Cove. The driveway was winding and lined with trees, daffodils, and wildlife. When we toured inside the house, I was in photographer AND hobbyist interior designer heaven!!! There was no doubt the wedding day was going to be lovely. Not many homes can pull off the logistics of a wedding AND photograph beautifully, but the Willett Farmhouse did it well!
Instead of traditions, the wedding day timeline and activities were focused on things that were most important to Laura & Robby. I have to admit that I love how intimate and relationship-focused the wedding day was because of that! It won’t take too much scrolling through these previews for you to feel it too! Keep scrolling all the way to the bottom though to see their sweet sunset portraits!!!
Laura & Robby – You’re literally driving to New York right now already on another adventure together. I don’t know when you’ll get the chance to read this and re-live your wedding day through my favorites captures of it, but when you do, I hope it brings joy to your hearts and makes you feel reconnected to those you love. You two have been such a blast to work with. I’ve been secretly sad that you’ve moved away, because our new friendship has really been a highlight. But, I can’t wait to hear the stories of all the new experiences you’re about to have as a newlyweds in a new state with new jobs, a new home, and even newer friends. It’s bound to be exciting and filled with plenty of laughs. 🙂 Praying all sorts of blessings for you guys and anxious to see you again!
