The Evelyn Center at Crabtree Farms is the perfect indoor/outdoor wedding venue, and the unique property it sits on will have your guests exploring before your celebration.
If planning a visit to Crabtree Farms, you might want to give yourself a few hours. I know that I can get totally lost in one of their 30 community garden beds. I have never dug through the dirt on a venue tour before, but Crabtree Farms invites gardeners of any skill level. Even my not-so-green thumb 😉 is encouraged to participate in their gardening!
A Venue On a Mission
The produce grown on-site is available weekly at markets around the Chattanooga area and at the store on the property! All of the growing and educating done through workshops and talks on-site are funded by events hosted at the Evelyn Center. That’s right – weddings and events at Crabtree Farms help support this amazing community agricultural non-profit! I love a venue with a mission! With many couples also opting to make a donation to organizations in lieu of favors for their guests, hosting your day at the Evelyn Center is even more special!
Location
If you know me at all, you know if a venue is beneath Lookout Mountain, I’m obsessed 😂. Evelyn Center and all of Crabtree Farms are situated beneath Lookout, which means lush green photo backdrops of your dreams! The sustainable agriculture surrounding the wooden barn-like structure brings an organic vibe to the venue. Evelyn Center itself is rustic in feel. It has an indoor/outdoor atmosphere with a unique all-glass garage door dividing the spaces. A perfect industrial touch!
Interior Aesthetic
The high open beam ceilings and exposed wood walls inside are also accompanied by a full demonstration kitchen and wood-burning stove! Are you thinking of a wedding slideshow? Or parent tribute video? The space also features AV equipment for the ever-popular wedding toasts and a 119” screen to display slideshows!
The interior of the Evelyn Center can host 50 guests. So if your party is larger than that, Evelyn Center considers your event indoor/outdoor. No complaints here because the paver patio out front is gorgeous and perfect for socializing and dancing. An abundance of land surrounds the building too.so setting up tables on the lawn is a perfect use of the space.
I honestly had the surprise of my life when I learned Crabtree Farms also hosted weddings and events. Come to think of it, this also could be a great rehearsal spot too!
