If you clicked this blog post, you are probably already interested in getting married in a chapel. Guess what?! There are so many wedding chapels in Chattanooga, TN. While wedding chapels are not as popular as they once were, they still make for a beautiful wedding venue. I believe it is the architecture, sacredness and traditional nature that moves certain couples to choose a wedding chapel. I get it!
Not all chapels are the same. Some chapels are dated, dark, and have little natural light. That usually means the images are dark, yellow or orange tinted, and/or have lots of flash use. Flash is okay, but it is not as flattering as natural light!
So, if you have been wanting to get married in a wedding chapel, AND want gorgeous images, these are the top three wedding chapels in Chattanooga that I recommend checking out as soon as possible!
Highlands Chapel
This timeless wedding chapel is one of ultimate my very favorites. With a lot of neutral colors indoors AND outdoors, this gives you a high-end-looking wedding and perfect background for wedding photos that keeps the focus on the couple and their specific wedding aesthetic. The contrast of the white shiplap against the blue sky is DREAMY! The mountain views from all three levels are unreal. As if this wedding chapel couldn’t get any better, they also have stunning bridal and groom’s suites for you and your squads to get ready in! Do not even get me started on the chandeliers that are all THROUGHOUT the venue…
If you want to stand out in your wedding photos, this wedding chapel is the place to do it!
Lee University Chapel
Located in the small town of Cleveland, Tennessee, this wedding chapel is one for the books. This chapel features some of the most stunning architecture I have ever seen. It makes for the most epic outdoor photos and portraits! The scale of the steeple with the iron-paned windows makes such a statement in photos. The inside is more traditional, but the architecture and roof is something to admired!
Patten Chapel at University of Tennessee
This stately wedding chapel is one of the most popular ones throughout Chattanooga, TN. With a rich history and stately-inspired décor and themes, this is a great place to have the wedding of your dreams! Say your “I dos” while you and your guests admire than hand woodworking elements incorporated into this wedding chapel. Though this chapel is more dark-toned and traditional, it’s still striking. The Shakespeare Garden just outside the chapels makes for some great, natural light portraits!
Now that you know some of the best wedding chapels throughout Chattanooga, Tennessee, it is time to get to planning your dreaming wedding! Your images at any of these three Chattanooga wedding chapels can be breath-taking. Whether you like bright and light, or can appreciate handmade woodworking, one of these wedding chapels is sure to fit with your dream wedding!
