THE HORSE BARN
Situated on a 365-acre horse farm is the Vintage Barn at Merefield Farm. It was refurbished and now is the site for gorgeous barn weddings.
Before the dinner and dancing though, have your outdoor ceremony right outside the multiple barns. A white-awning-style chapel is situated at the end of the outdoor aisle. It is country-chic and vintage in an upscale way. I LOVE it. If you are opting for a lace wedding dress or one with tons of tulle, I can see it perfectly at this outdoor ceremony site.
Inside the main barn hang gorgeous chandeliers. The high ceilings draw your eye up to the wooden beams that bring dimension and character to the space. More stunning than the chandeliers though is the end-to-end farmhouse dining table that reaches through the entire space. Though the table is large, the experience is intimate and the tablescapes are stunning. Ask your florist how you can bring more dimension to the long table!
The barn is suitable for a variety of table layouts though for small and large weddings. I especially love the living room options with antique velvet chairs and rugs that give you and your guests other places to enjoy themselves!
The loft area in the main barn too provides more photo opportunities and offers guests a space to view from above. Catching up with friends or needing a quiet place to share a drink? The loft area is made for this!
A COTTAGE TO LOVE
The main barn that has been restored is where most of the party happens but what I love about Vintage Barn at Merefield Farm is the round barn that is on-site too! After dinner, you can move guests to the round barn for drinks and dancing. I love having another space to use after dinner because it gives you more backdrops for fun party photographs. You’re also getting to use all parts of the venue and with this venue, you’re going to want to!
Vintage Barn at Merefield Farm also has an on-site cottage for getting ready. With space for both the bride and groom, you really never have to leave the grounds on your wedding day! The cottage also features antique sofas and chairs so if you’re a vintage bride the getting ready photos you could have here would be dreamy!
THE GROUNDS
365 acres is a lot, but all I think is “a lot of photo opportunities.” It’s even the perfect place for engagement photos. It is so neat to take engagement photos at your wedding venue site too so you can have the progression from engagement to wedding day! As a horse farm too, you know the grounds are lush and green. I love exploring with my couples so we’re bound to find really unique photo opportunities!
