Southern Wedding for Susan & Matt

After getting to know Susan & Matt, an elegant Southern wedding is exactly what I envisioned for them! I hadn’t anticipated just how incredibly detailed and tremendously thoughtful Susan is. As the wedding approached, I kept seeing Instagram stories of the most gorgeous details handmade by Susan and her vendors. I’m a sucker for all-the-pretty-things, so I planned to arrive an hour early on my own time to ensure I didn’t miss anything! I’m sooooo glad I did. I photographed JUST bridal details for TWO HOURS!!! This slideshow doesn’t even show it all. Nearly everything was monogrammed, engraved, or simply something very special to Susan & Matt. Not to mention, she had very generous gifts for nearly all of her loved ones!

We should have guessed that we would see some of Susan’s sentimentality reflected in her parents. But, nothing could’ve prepared us for how emotional and sweet the Father & Daughter First Look was. It was hands down the sweetest one we’ve photographed yet! Mr. Webb was very tearful, but as soon as the tears eased up, they came flooding back. Susan also took a moment through her own tears and shaky voice to thank her dad, reminding him that “all of this is because of you. Thank you.” Cue my watery eyes and unable to see clearly through my camera! 🙂

All that they had planned came together beautifully! The rain that had threatened the forecast all week was nowhere to be found on the Big Day. Our portrait time happened during the perfect amount of cloud cover. Throughout the entire day, their families were a joy to be with. But my favorite thing of all…Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer was played at the reception!!! I just love when our brides are Swifties too! 🙂

Susan, Matt, and their loved ones – thank you for trusting us with such a special day in both your families lives. The love you have for each other was so evident. We hope you’re proud of these images and that when you look at them, you feel like you’re reliving the wedding day all over again! Big hugs!
