Have you read recently on my blog about why I love being a Chattanooga photographer? I went on and on about the views and the trees and anything outdoors. It makes the area so special any time of year. It should not come as a surprise then that I LOVE the forest weddings! Hidden Springs
I absolutely adore Hidden Springs! You would never know it used to be a 170-acre youth camp! I love Hidden Springs because it can actually be booked for multi-day weddings in addition to single day weddings! With restored and beautifully furnished cabins (some featuring full kitchens and others kitchenettes!), you can make an entire weekend out of your wedding, encouraging guests to stay and enjoy the grounds!
Your entire day includes access to the grounds and lake which you can totally canoe on as part of your day! How fun! Before the canoes though, you can set up a provided arbor at the lakeside ceremony site. Picturesque! Firepits, and giant yard games create a casual and relaxed reception space too!

Oakleaf Cottage
The dreamiest of forest venues tucked away in Lookout Mountain. Oakleaf Cottage is a favorite! Gorgeous tree cover, vintage rugs adorning your aisle, historic crystal and glassware for your reception…the details available to you to create an intimate and unique wedding are endless!
One of the best aspects besides the fantasy forest that is Oakleaf Cottage, are the owners themselves. Cris and Dave Angsten thought of everything and dreamt of Oakleaf for years. They poured over magazine clippings for 10+ years to bring their vision to life. They even renovated the space themselves, transforming the cottage and barn to its current enchanting beauty.

Gardens in the Gorge
One of my favorite newly discovered forest venues is Gardens in the Gorge. Tree cover is captivating and enchanting at some venues, but the standout for Gardens in the Gorge is the forest views. Gardens in the Gorge offer truly GORGEous panoramic views of the Tennessee River Gorge. And these are not just indoors, looking through window views. The exquisite natural beauty can be taken in from a stunning wrap-around porch where the golden hour photos are unmatched.
From some angles, you even have views of Prentice Cooper State Forest. The whole venue area is lush and provides a backdrop that will give you photos you will cherish for decades to come! The other amenities offered here make this venue a must-book for your wedding day!
