Vlad almost lost her. Brittany was in a very bad car accident a couple months ago, and it rocked both their worlds. Shortly after, he seized the time that they’ve been given and proposed. When Brittany was telling me the story during her booking consult, I had tears in my eyes. I can only imagine the ache and angst they must’ve felt when confronted with the reality of our mortality.

Because of that experience, I believe there was something especially beautiful about photographing their modern engagement photos. They had an energy for life and a genuinely sweet love for each other that’s uncommon. Capturing that kind of relationship is my real dream as a photographer. The great light, outfits, and location are just bonuses! (It was also a big bonus that their engagement session day was the ONE day it didn’t rain the ENTIRE week!)

Their Winter wedding at Lee University’s Chapel and Black Fox Farms is going to be stunning. It’ll probably have me feeling a little weepy too, because I’m so thankful that these two have the opportunity to experience married life and all that awaits them.

Brittany & Vlad, I’m so glad photography connected us. It’s refreshing to make new friends who are genuinely kind people. I hope you LOVE these previews of your engagement session, and that you feel they do justice to the love you have for one another!
