First Birthday Session with Mom’s Wedding Dress | Chattanooga Wedding Photographer
Little Miss Eleanor’s officially a one-year-old! We celebrated with an extra special first birthday session at Black Fox Farms. Before the session, Katie had the cutest idea of having Eleanor sit on and wear her wedding dress. What a sweet way to repurpose mommy’s wedding dress! I’m so pleased with how these images came our using the doorway at one of the farms’ ceremony sites!
I first photographed the Weitzel family last Christmas. Eleanor was so laid back then, and my time with her at this session wasn’t any different. She had no problem hanging out on mommy’s wedding dress or all the outfit changes and accessories! When she was wearing her last outfit, the pebbles on the path were a bit of a distraction and made for some dichotomous captures. I couldn’t help but giggle behind the camera watching a girl in a poofy dress play with dirt and pebbles. 🙂
I have to mention how resilient the Weitzel family is. They’ve been through an unreal year. Their home was destroyed from an EF3 tornado that ripped through Chattanooga on Easter evening this year. Before that, things had already started breaking loose with the coronavirus pandemic. So, I’m sure Eleanor’s first birthday hasn’t looked like what the Weitzel’s imagined it to be for her, but I’m hoping the captures from this session made it a little extra special and brought a bright spot to a crazy season! They’re the sweetest friends and have had the most positive attitude through it all. We’re so blessed to do life together with the Weitzel family!
We love you Katie, Stephen, Ezra, and Eleanor! Can’t wait till we can play again, especially at the Santa Hustle in December! Jimmy’s out buying new running shoes as I type, ha! 🙂 Here’s to more adventures together! 🙂
