Being a wedding photographer, I see a lot of different areas. I’ve been photographing Chattanooga weddings for several years now, and I still love it as much as I did when I first started. I love being the one to capture the full wedding day story and intimate moments my clients have with their partner, their family, and their friends.
The state of Tennessee is filled with so many different beautiful cities, and there are so many beautiful places to get married. There is one place in particular that wins my heart every time, and that’s the city of Chattanooga. Here’s why…
5 Reasons I Love Chattanooga Weddings
Long Wedding Season
Here in Chattanooga, TN, we have an extremely long “wedding season.” Being a wedding photographer, this is what dreams are made of! In Tennessee, our winters are very mild. We don’t see extremely cold weather or snow too often (hopefully I don’t jinx that). Because we have long stretches of beautiful, mild, and warm weather, we have so much more time for weddings than some other states do! And the Fall season…need I say anymore?
Beautiful Weather
Going off the last reason, the weather here in Chattanooga, TN, is just beautiful year-round. Yes, we do get some colder weather, but it doesn’t stick around for too long. Even the mild winter can make for some cozy weddings with fur jackets, hot chocolate bars, and aisles lined with Christmas trees! Our warmer weather seasons can be rough, but they don’t last long, and our gorgeous low-hanging trees make for great shade and dreamy bride & groom portraits! Not to mention, our waters are not infested with gators and sharks, like Florida!
Epic Landscapes
One of the most unique things about this area is the beautiful landscapes we have. There are so many different mountain ranges, waterfalls, bluffs, boulders, and more that make for the perfect backdrops for a ceremony or reception site and your wedding photos! This is especially fun if you’re adventurous and want just as epic portraits! I am all about embracing the natural beauty of the outdoors and have no problem climbing rocks or leaning off edges of cliffs to get the shot. Chattanooga, TN and me make a great team, ha!
Friendly vendors
Another thing I absolutely adore about Chattanooga weddings is the vendors I get to work with. I don’t know what it is about this area, but the wedding vendors I work with are so friendly and kind. I guess it’s those southern manners! Each vendor loves to help support others in any way they can. Being a small business myself, I am all about vendors supporting other vendors. This is one of my very favorite things about Chattanooga weddings! It means my couples are well-supported with options too.
Gorgeous Greenery
I know I sound like a broken record, but I just have to point out how much I love all the natural greenery in Chattanooga! There is so much gorgeous greenery everywhere you go here, from cascading vines to tree-top lined mountain tops. It makes for eye-catching and dreamy portraits on a wedding day. No cacti or desert sand here!
Being a Chattanooga wedding photographer, I absolutely love this area. It has so much to offer to people who want to get married here. There are so many options when it comes to venues, vendors, and everything else you need to make your wedding day perfect!
